Working with Different Generation Groups
Last year, a lot of
organization witness four different generations group working under one roof.
We see the almost retired baby boomers are passing on their knowledge to
Generation Z in order to keep the system in order.
However, just like
culture and languages, different generation proves to have different approaches
to work. While Generation X appreciates respect and loyalty, Generation Y
focuses more on progress and innovation, and sometimes the two perspectives do
not mix.
If you are one of the
people who are working with different generation groups, it is important to
remember to first respect each other’s views and methods. While you might have
a different way of doing things or seeing things, your peers might not see it
the same way. So instead of complaining, try and explain your point of view and
remember to always collaborate.
