Effective Time Management
Most people, feel like they have too much to do and not
enough time to do it in. Having a lack of time becomes the common excuse for
their poor finances, stress, bad relationships, and for not being able to
exercise. Time is precious, and with the
right approach, you can work efficiently, productively, and relatively
stress-free. Through effective time management, and by planning wisely, you
can “create” the time you need, to do the things you want.
When you learn to take control of your time, you
improve your ability to focus. This increased focus will enhanced your efficiency,
and you’ll start to feel more calm and in control. First and foremost you need
to identify and know your goals and prioritise the tasks you need to finish
using an organised to-do list.
Don’t be afraid to say ‘NO’ and decline a requests in
order to attend to what is truly important and urgent. Be sure to plan ahead as
much as possible, as preparation is key to effective time management. Most
importantly, make sure you set aside time to rest and de-stress, as your body
and mind need time to recover between tasks.
