Become A Lifelong Learner

Why should you become a lifelong learner? The answer is because by becoming a student of the world, our life becomes more meaningful, enriched and valuable, to name a few. The continuous pursuit of knowledge, for either personal or professional reasons, allows us to be developed into a more well-rounded and holistic individual who can better influence the people near and dear to us. Never should one underestimate their ability in inspiring their surroundings –for it is a domino effect.

In other words, when we apply this concept to lifelong learning, the cumulative effect of on-going, voluntary and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge can enhance our understanding of the world around us, provide us with better opportunities and improve our overall quality of life.

Learning throughout life comes in two distinctions – learning for personal development and learning for professional development. Whichever distinction we choose to develop ourselves in, the advantages are aplenty. For example, lifelong learning can boost our confidence and self-esteem, make us less risk averse and more adaptable to change when it happens, help us achieve a more satisfying personal life, challenges our belief and ideas but more importantly, it can also be fun!
