What is Self-Motivation?
Self-motivation is a useful
tool for personal development, and it is key life skill that everybody should
be focusing on. Being self-motivated means being ready for driven, focused
discussion and behaviour. It also means being sharp and smart enough not to be
manipulated and to be open to positive learning. Being in this state of mind is
a challenge. People with self-motivation can find a reason and strength to
complete a task, even when it is challenging, without giving up or needing
others to encourage them.
You may be motivated by
external factors, others may encourage you to start something new or begin
moving in a positive direction. You can be motivated by faith, by your belief
in your religion and in doing what is right. You can even be motivated by
negative events to achieve positively. However, what important is how do YOU
react and think about what happens to you. When things are not right, being
negative will demotivate you. Thus, optimism and self-motivation are useful and
will prepare you for new challenges and make it more likely that you will
succeed.
