Every once in a while, your organisation will host an event for various reasons. It can be to celebrate someone’s retirement, birthday or even to celebrate a public holiday like Christmas. As an employee, you should make it a point to attend as it will be your chance to network and build rapport outside of work setting.

However, you must also remember to dress appropriately. If the invitation comes with a theme, then follow the instruction. However if no dress code is given out, it is safe to go with anything that is semi-formal. Remember to still keep it modest and respectful as you will be seeing your superiors.
