Giving Constructive Feedback To Improve Character Building

When working in a team, you will face someone who at times might not deliver their works as expected. That being said, nobody likes taking criticism and when you lead a team, it is important to remember that criticism doesn’t work. Instead, try expressing your disappointment in the form of constructive feedback.
When you give constructive feedback, you are highlighting what your team is doing wrong but you also offer him an explanation and solution. For example, when a report you receive has grammatical error, instead of saying, “I don’t like this report, do it again.” You can tell the person, “there are a few grammatical errors in this report, I would like you to check it again, ask help from Mr. A if you need to.”
Constructive feedback allows an individual to understand where the mistake was made and what they can do to avoid it. By doing so, you are not criticising anybody’s work effort instead you are offering them room for improvement. This, will make your team members feel empowered and return with a better input, which in return will result in a more effective organisation.
